Today Chhattisgarh has got two medals in the 36th National Games. Men’s softball team got silver and women’s softball team got bronze. Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel and Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Shri Umesh Patel have congratulated and congratulated the players of both the teams for this success. Chhattisgarh team has so far won 2 Gold, 5 Silver and 6 Bronze medals in the National Games held in Gujarat. The Chhattisgarh women’s softball team took on Kerala in the semi-finals today. In this struggling match, the team of Chhattisgarh fell 2-1 behind the team of Kerala and the team had to be content with the bronze medal. It is worth mentioning that in the national championship of senior category, the women’s team has got a medal for the first time. Earlier, the women’s team had once finished jointly in third place. In the final match, today the men’s section softball team played between Chhattisgarh and Maharashtra. Both the teams were tied till the third inning. Maharashtra went ahead by one run in the fourth inning. Chhattisgarh team could not score any runs in the fifth inning and thus Maharashtra won the final match 1-0.
