In a major relief to former principal secretary Aman Singh, Chhattisgarh High Court on Wednesday placed a stay on the State Government’s order to form an SIT against him.
“Justice Prashant Mishra while hearing the case ruled that SIT cannot be formed without FIR and placed stay on the formation of SIT,” Advocate Kishor Bhaduri appearing on behalf of Aman Singh, told The Pioneer.
Notably, State home department on the directive of the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) had formed the SIT recently to investigate alleged irregularities in the appointment of Aman Singh on contract basis with the Chhattisgarh Government under the previous BJP regime.
