State Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel today inaugurated 25 new tehsils of the state from the capital Raipur, which includes the new tehsil Belergaon after being separated from the city of Dhamtari district. He made the virtual launch of the said new tehsil office at 11.30 am today. During this, a wave of happiness ran among the villagers present. The villagers were seen congratulating each other on the establishment of the new tehsil. In a program organized at Samarsata Bhawan of village Belergaon, Collector Shri P.S.Elma formally inaugurated the new tehsil by cutting the tape. He congratulated the villagers for getting the benefits of administrative decentralization in the area at the local level. It is noteworthy that Belergaon tehsil came into existence as the sixth tehsil of the district. There will be a total of 09 revenue divisions in the said new tehsil, in which 19 Patwari Halkas are included. The total area of the new tehsil will be 21 thousand 70 hectares. There are total 40 gram panchayats in Belergaon tehsil and they include 89 villages, with a population of 64 thousand 363. During the launch program organized at Samarsata Bhawan, Belergaon, District Panchayat City President Smt.
