Campaign to prevent infection reaching villages brought color, half the villages of Chhattisgarh freed from Corona

The good news among the corona infection cases reaching villages across the country is that at present, about half a thousand villages in Chhattisgarh are completely infection free. These villages have either not been able to reach the infection, or they have got rid of the infection soon. At present there is not a single infected person in these villages. This has become possible due to the measures initiated by the Chhattisgarh government in time to prevent infection by villages.

As soon as the second wave of Corona started in the urban areas of the state, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel had directed that all necessary steps should be taken to prevent infection in rural areas. Following this directive, quarantine centers set up in villages during the first wave were reactivated with stronger arrangements than before. Arrangements were made to accommodate, examine and treat persons and families returning from other states or urban areas to these centers. A door-to-door survey was conducted to locate the infected, along with the Mitannins, and health staff, as well as Anganwadi workers and teachers. Anganwadi workers and field officer-employees also participated in identifying and treating the patients with cold fever. He also played a role in bringing awareness to prevention and treatment from Corona.

On the instructions of Chief Minister Baghel, the supply and distribution of essential medicines kits was decided in every village from time to time. The Chief Minister himself is monitoring the measures being taken for the corona control through the network from the District Panchayats to the Gram Panchayats. They are constantly motivating public representatives through video conferencing, as well as directing officers on the basis of feedback. New labs were continuously established to increase testing facilities in the state. With this, the number of daily testing of samples has increased from 21-22 thousand to now more than 70 thousand per day. Health infrastructures from district hospitals to primary health centers were strengthened. Along with the increase in the number of beds already available in hospitals, new Kovid centers were established and treatment facilities were extended to rural areas. The number of ambulances and other vehicles was increased so that serious patients of rural areas could be transported to hospitals as quickly as possible.
