Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has saluted the bravery and sacrifice of Indian brave soldiers while wishing the people of the state on Victory Day. Mr. Baghel has said that in the war between India and Pakistan in 1971, the Indian Army, under the direction of former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna Mrs. Indira Gandhi and under the leadership of Field Marshal Moneck Shaw, showed indomitable courage while following the highest tradition of valor and sacrifice. Indian soldiers won the war on 16 December and thousands of Pakistani soldiers surrendered. As a result, the partition of Pakistan led to the emergence of a new country Bangladesh on the world stage. It was a marvel of determination and mighty leadership of Mrs. Indira Gandhi. Indira ji was not afraid, nor did she let the morale of the soldiers go down. This victory made every Indian proud.
