In order to ensure systematic and safe maintenance of the paddy procured in the paddy procurement centers due to untimely rains in the district, instructions in this regard were issued earlier by Collector Pushpendra Kumar Meena to all the committees of the district. According to the instructions of the Collector, District Food Officer Bhupendra Mishra along with the staff of the Food Department is inspecting the procurement centers of the district. According to which on Saturday he reached the procurement centers Urdabeda, Amravati and Chipavand along with the team. Where he found the guidelines given for the procurement of paddy in the Kharif marketing year 2020-21 and the instructions issued from time to time by the district office were not being followed. Due to which the procured paddy was found to be wet and spoiled due to untimely rains. In view of this, an explanation has been sought by issuing notices to the committee managers and procurement in-charges of Urandabeda, Amravati and Chipavand for the negligent act by the collector and the damage caused to the government paddy due to this. In this investigation team led by District Food Officer, Assistant Food Officer Rabia Khan, Food Inspector Navinchand Srivastava, Hiteshdas Manikpuri, Gulshan Nand Thakur, and Maniram Baghel were also involved.
