Collector Dr. Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure gave instructions to expedite the works related to the interest and convenience of the general public after reviewing the departmental work by taking a weekly meeting in the Red Cross meeting room located in the Collectorate premises here today. He said that from November 1, paddy procurement has started in all the districts of the state. He told the officers that procurement of paddy is an important task of the government, all the nodal officers should inspect the procurement centers regularly. The convenience of the farmers in the procurement centers should be taken care of. He asked to promote the online token system. He said that there should also be a system of drainage and other necessary arrangements including protection of paddy from rain. He asked the officials to keep a close watch on illegal transportation and storage of paddy. The Collector instructed all the concerned officials including urban bodies and PWD to do quality work after taking information about the repair, repair, screw repair works of roads in the district and asked them to expedite the work. He said that there should be no negligence in the work of strengthening the roads.
