The three-day National Tribal Dance Festival and Rajyotsava started in a colorful way at the Science College ground in the capital Raipur today. Once again 1500 tribal artists from different states and union territories of the country, including 100 artists from abroad, gathered in the soil of Chhattisgarh to spread the rainbow colors of tribal culture. These artists expressed their gratitude to the Chhattisgarh government for saving and promoting tribal dance art, culture. There was tremendous enthusiasm in the dancers dressed in colorful costumes from the country and abroad. When these tribal groups performed glimpses of their dance form, it was as if a unique confluence of cultures came alive on one stage. The dance parties performed collective steps and threaded the garland of Unity in Diversity, in which the colors of ancient civilization and culture were seen in harmony. The Chhattisgarhia audience also showed enthusiasm to see indigenous and foreign artists. He continued to encourage the artists with applause and chanting of ‘Chhattisgarhia Sab Le Badhiya’. The main stage, pandals and stalls for the Rajyotsava in the Science College ground have been beautifully decorated. With the rich culture, tradition and folk arts of the tribes, people will get to see a glimpse of the development journey of Chhattisgarh for four and a half years. Several Indian states including Togo, Mozambique, Serbia, Indonesia, Maldives, Mongolia, New Zealand, Russia, Rwanda and Egypt will showcase their tribal dance skills for three days in the festival.
