Chhattisgarh Chief Information Commissioner Shri M.K. Raut said that the transparency of the Election Commission of India and their emotional connection with the voters is commendable. He said that the Voter Helpline Mobile App of the Election Commission is an important tool to make people aware of the democratic process. Describing the booth level officer doing election related work as a frontline worker, he appreciated his contribution in the work of keeping the voter list pure. Describing the importance of each vote, Mr. Raut appealed to all the citizens to register their names in the voter list. At present the number of voters in the state is 1,94,95,247. The number of voters this year has increased by 1,50,858 as compared to last year. He also informed that the Garuda App and Voter Helpline App prepared by the Election Commission of India have been adopted by the voters and have given preference to online applications. Out of the total applications received in the state, 53.30 percent applications have been received online. All took an oath collectively to exercise their franchise in all the elections. The message of the Chief Election Commissioner of India was also telecast live. Keeping in mind the unforeseen circumstances arising due to the corona epidemic, this event was organized in virtual form, in which social media like YouTube, Facebook Live and Google Meet were broadcast from all over the state. Similarly, Shri Ashish Kumar Dwivedi, Assistant Programmer, District Balrampur, Ramanujganj was honored with incentive award at the state level for preparing creative slogans related to elections in the year 2021.
