Vinakshi, a class VIII student, wanted to know “What was her goal behind starting Swami Atmanand English Medium School?” In response to this, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel, while remembering his school life, said that during his time, there was no facility for every class of children to study in English medium. In urban areas, English medium was taught and teachers of all subjects were with them, but in rural areas these facilities were not available. There is no dearth of talent here, but the people here used to lag behind because of language. Seeing this, I felt that here also an environment of education in English medium should be given to the children of rural areas along with the cities. Swami Atmanand Schools have been started on the same lines as Rajiv Gandhiji opened Navodaya Vidyalayas across the country. The Chief Minister said that, when children study in a better environment, they will get self-confidence, and self-confidence is the biggest asset of a person. You are the future of the state and the country, the state and the country will progress only through your education. During the meeting with the children, Shruti Thakur, a student of class VII, asked the Chief Minister, “Sir, how do you spend your summer vacation?” In response to this, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said, “There is no holiday in public service. This time a meet-and-greet campaign is being run across the state for the past one month. In this I have gone to 20 assembly constituencies of Surguja and Bastar. There, sitting under trees like Mango, Banyan, Peepal, Sal, talks are taking place with the people of the village. There I am getting information related to the schemes, whether they are getting the benefits of the schemes or not. In this way, the summer so far has been spent talking to the people of the state under the tree. Discipline is necessary in life: Shailendra Devangan, a student of class 9th, asked the Chief Minister, ‘When you were a student, how did your teacher treat you?’ In response, the Chief Minister said that the teachers want discipline from you. You reach school on time. You follow the instructions of the teachers. While sitting in class, your entire focus should be on studies. Whatever things related to the course you do not understand, you should ask your questions to the teachers. You will be disciplined, take part in sports and other school activities then teachers will like you. Do not try to hide your mistake in front of teachers. The Chief Minister told that there were not enough teachers in his time. He said that now the Swami Atmanand School has other resources along with the teachers. Give such an environment to the children that they have the urge to learn: During the meeting with the principals and teachers of all 7 Swami Atmanand English Medium Schools operating in Patan assembly constituency, the Chief Minister was asked by all the schools on behalf of all the schools about their schools’ infrastructure, staff and school. achievements were reported. While addressing the teachers, the Chief Minister said that Patan area has been the land of freedom fighters. Who has done many remarkable works for the country and the state. There has already been an atmosphere regarding studies in the area, but people’s expectation from Swami Atmanand Schools has increased further. Today parents and children all over the state are excited about Swami Atmanand Schools. In such a situation, there is a need to monitor the activities of the children after school hours. He said that if you pay a little more attention to the achievements of your schools, then they will increase. Earlier, teachers had to go home to contact the parents, today is the age of technology. At the same time, the Chief Minister also emphasized on preparing the children for competition. Also said that the study environment should be such that children do not find studies burdensome. The school environment should be cheerful along with discipline. The urge to learn should be inculcated in children. This is special in Swami Atmanand School Patan: The campus of Swami Atmanand School, operating in the block headquarter Patan, is spread over about 2 acres.
