Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, the state government is running an important program with the aim of providing social security to the forest dwellers tendu patta collectors. Under this, under the guidance of Forest and Climate Change Minister Mr. Mohammad Akbar, Shaheed Mahendra Karma Tendupatta Collector Social Security Scheme is being efficiently operated in the interest of tendu patta collectors in the state. Under the scheme, an amount of Rs 57 crore 52 lakh has been paid in 3 thousand 827 cases from 05 August 2020 to December 2021 in the state. Under this, Rs 03 crore 58 lakh in 219 cases under Bijapur forest division in approved cases, An amount of Rs.81 lakh has been approved in 46 cases of Sukma, Rs. one crore 37 lakh in 78 cases of Dantewada and Rs.29 lakh 65 thousand in 16 cases of Jagdalpur. Similarly, in 187 cases of West Bhanupratappur Rs. 2 crore 83 lakh, in 314 cases of East Bhanupratappur Rs. 4 crore 38 lakh, in 27 cases of Kondagaon Rs. 34 lakh has been approved. In 262 cases of Kanker Rs.3 crore 64 lakh, in 22 cases of Keshkal Rs.32 lakh and in 31 cases of Marwahi Rs.52 lakh has been approved. An amount of Rs 64 lakh has been approved in 53 cases of Bilaspur, Rs 02 crore 51 lakh in 155 cases of Korba, Rs 01 crore 57 lakh in 100 cases of Katghora, Rs 04 crore 48 lakh in 277 cases of Raigarh. Apart from this, an amount of Rs.02 crore 54 lakh has been approved in 157 cases of Dharamjaygarh and Rs.58 lakh in 34 cases of Janjgir-Champa. Similarly, in 89 cases of Balod forest division, Rs. 01 crore 29 lakh, in 52 cases of Kawardha Rs. 74 lakh, in 137 cases of Dhamtari Rs. 01 crore 78 lakh and in 390 cases of Gariaband Rs. 05 crore 37 lakh has been approved. An amount of Rs.05 crore 30 lakh has been approved in 344 cases of Mahasamund, Rs.72 lakh in 47 cases of Balodabazar, Rs.01 crore 11 lakh in 59 cases of Surguja and Rs.01 crore 31 lakh in 73 cases of Surajpur. Apart from this, an amount of Rs.03 crore 2 lakh has been approved in 172 cases of Balrampur, Rs.57 lakh in 38 cases of Korea, Rs.81 lakh in 47 cases of Manendragarh and Rs.01 crore 12 lakh in 75 cases of Jashpur city. With the aim of providing social security to the tendu patta collecting families in the state, this scheme is operational from last 5 August 2020. Under this scheme, the head of the registered collector family engaged in tendu leaf collection, whose age ranges from 18 to 50 years on the date of his death, on his normal death, a grant-in-aid amounting to two lakh rupees is given to the nominee or heir. In case of accidental death, an additional amount of Rs.2 lakh is provided. A grant-in-aid amounting to two lakh rupees in case of complete disability due to accident and one lakh rupees in case of partial disablement is provided to the accidental eligible tendu patta collector.
