According to the information received from the Water Resources Department, due to the construction of Jokari Nala, earthen dam and canal in Dumarkona, about 200 hectares of agricultural land around the village Dumarkona has started getting irrigation facilities. Now the farmers here are getting the benefits of both Rabi and Kharif crops. This has increased the income of the farmers. In addition, the ground water level has also improved. The land of this region is favorable for the cultivation of chillies. Due to the availability of irrigation facility from Jokari canal construction, farmers had planted chilli crop on 50 hectares of land. Due to which the income of the farmers has increased. There is an atmosphere of happiness among farmers due to increase in income. The farmers of the village Sarvshree Bhagirath Pradhan, Son Sai Ram, Ramprasad Yadav, Ram Kumar Yadav, Sanjay Ram, Lalman Mani, Balwant told that due to good production of greens and vegetables in both summer and rainy season, farmers are getting lakhs of rupees every year. Income is coming. Farmers are getting good profits by selling chilli, tomato, ladyfinger, bottle gourd, barbati in local markets also. Farmers told that due to the construction of the dam, the area under paddy has increased by about 25 hectares. He told that earlier the land was unirrigated. Due to the construction of the dam, it is completely irrigated. The production of the traditional paddy crop has also increased. Now you don’t have to wait for monsoon rains. Irrigation is done on time. State government’s Narva, Garva, Ghurva and Bari scheme is being appreciated all over the country.
