Akti Tihar The festival of Akshaya Tritiya will be celebrated across the state on May 3. All the preparations have been completed regarding this. From Akti Tihar itself, the soil worship campaign will start in the state. According to the intention of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, programs of Akti Tihar and Mati Pujan will be organized in all the agricultural colleges and Krishi Vigyan Kendras located in different districts of the state under Indira Gandhi Agricultural University. On this occasion, the message of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel regarding Akti Tihar will be read. People present in the program will take oath to protect Bhuiyan Mata along with worshiping the soil. It is worth mentioning here that Akshaya Tritiya Akti Tihar will be celebrated widely in the state on May 03 by Indira Gandhi Agricultural University in collaboration with Agriculture and Biotechnology Department, Seed Corporation and other departments and institutions of Chhattisgarh Government. On this day, Akti Tihar program will be organized at about 60 places including all the colleges, research centers and Krishi Vigyan Kendras run under the university. Programs will also be organized in the main Gothan of that district established under the Suraji village scheme of Chhattisgarh government. Gothan committees, self-help groups will participate in this. On this occasion, the farmers, members of Gauthan committees and self-help groups will also be given the details of small agricultural machines and implements developed and popular by the university, seeds and plant material of various food grains- pulses, oilseeds, vegetables, fodder etc. During the program, farmers’ training and farmers’ seminars will also be organized, in which efforts will be made to solve the technical problems of the farmers. Akti Tihar (Akshay Tritiya festival) is an important festival of agriculture in the state of Chhattisgarh. From this day, farmers prepare action plans for the upcoming crops. They go to their fields to worship the collected seeds for the upcoming crop and also test the germination capacity of the seeds by growing them in small quantities. On the occasion of Akti Tihar, farmers are also prayed to God for the upcoming harvest. Along with the farmers, local public representatives will also participate in this program. Farmers, members of Gothan committees and self-groups will be invited to colleges, research centers and Krishi Vigyan Kendras and they will also be given information and training about new seeds and agricultural techniques.
