Commissioner Mr. Shyam Dhavde on Wednesday inspected the development work of the maize processing plant under construction at village Kokodi in Kondagaon and instructed to complete the construction work within the stipulated time. Observed the processing unit to be constructed on the basis of the map in the plant area. The commissioner inquired about the electricity, water and other essential resources in the plant. On this occasion, Chief Executive Officer of District Panchayat Mr. Prem Prakash Sharma and other officers were present. On this occasion, the Managing Director of the plant told that at present all the drawing designing works have been completed in the plant and arrangements have been made for sheds and temporary accommodation for the staff and employees. After completion of foundation digging work in boiler, fermentation station and dryer section, footings are being constructed. Apart from this, orders have been placed for raw material and parts of machines. While the parts of some machines will be fabricated in the plant itself. For which arrangements are being made. A detailed action plan for seven months has been prepared. Whose monthly review is also being done by the committee. All necessary permissions have been obtained for the plant. Local workers are being given priority in works. Under which at present 25 to 30 people are getting employment every day. In a few days, an action plan will be prepared to conduct the works in two to three shifts for 24 hours and 150 more people will be included in the plant construction works.
