After the victory of the war, there was a tradition of Chakri dance in Kota and surrounding princely states of Rajasthan. In this dance, women of Kanjar caste dance by wearing a ghagra of 80 buds. She dances round the clock at a very high speed but her balance is so amazing that she does not feel dizzy at all. A beautiful performance of this folk dance took place in the National Tribal Dance Festival today. During the festival, folk artists from Rajasthan presented this beautiful dance. Earlier this dance was performed on the occasion of victory. Later it started being done especially in Manglik festivals. The special feature of the dance is its fast pace. The way Panthi dance in Chhattisgarh amazes with its speed. In the same way, Chakri dance also amazes with its speed. As the dance picks up pace, the sound of the instruments also intensifies and the equanimity of both the dance and the music fills the spectators with awe.
