Today, in the presence of Collector Dr. Priyanka Shukla and Superintendent of Police Shalabh Kumar Sinha, a workshop on professional rules was organized for police officers, in which they were informed about various provisions of professional rules and their suggestions were also sought. In order to maintain peace and order in the village, the police officers were given detailed information about the peace and justice committee, rights and responsibilities of the gram sabha, etc. Through video conferencing from Raipur, Manjit Kaur and Mr. Ashwani Kange present in the workshop gave detailed information about the provisions of the profession rules. Role of Gram Sabha in peace and security and dispute resolution, disputes heard by Gram Sabha, dispute resolution process, punishment by Gram Sabha, arrest proceedings by police, Patwari, Tehsildar and SDM, Mining Department, Beat Guard, Deputy Ranger and Ranger Detailed information was given about the profession rules related to Excise Department and Labor Department. It was told that peace and justice committees have been formed in 851 gram sabhas in the district and the process of formation is going on. District Panchayat’s Chief Executive Officer Sumit Agarwal, Additional Superintendent of Police Antagarh Khoman Sinha, DSP Anurag Jha and all station in-charges were present in the workshop.
