Bhupesh Baghel has said that yoga is a simple, cheap and accessible medium, by adopting which we can protect ourselves from the dangers of the present and the future. The Chief Minister said the above things while inaugurating a statewide virtual yoga practice and yoga counseling program through video conferencing on the occasion of International Smoking Day in his residence office here today. This program has been published by the Chhattisgarh Yoga Commission on the effects of Kovid-19 in the general public including those who have been cured of Kovid-19, people living in home isolation and quarantine, their family members, people who have taken their first dose of vaccine It has been started with the aim of reducing and enhancing the immunity of the disease. Yoga’s free virtual classes will run for a year from May 31.
The program was chaired by Social Welfare Minister and Chhattisgarh Yoga Commission Chairperson Smt. Anila Bhendia. On this occasion, Home Minister Shri Tamradhwaj Sahu, Additional Chief Secretary Home Shri Subrata Sahu, Secretary Social Welfare Department, Smt. Reena Baba Saheb Kangale were present in the Chief Minister’s residence. Director Social Welfare Shri P. Dayanand along with senior officials of Chhattisgarh Yoga Commission and Social Welfare Department, citizens from different districts, yoga instructors were also involved in this program virtually.
