    Kumar Inder, Jabalpur. IG Anil Singh Kushwaha took a meeting with the zone's DIG and SP regarding the Lok Sabha elections. While the preparations before the Lok Sabha elections were reviewed in the meeting, instructions were also given to resolve the crimes registered in the last elections as soon as possible. At the same time, notices and warrants received from the High Court were also promptly served, DNA reports in rape cases were obtained from FSL and instructions were given to present them in the court along with taking action against the District Magistrate and goons.

    In view of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, instructions were given in the meeting to take action as per the guidelines of the Election Commission. The forces available in the zone were reviewed. Besides, instructions were given to ensure accommodation for the central and state forces coming for the elections. Instructions were also given to settle the pending election cases registered during the last Lok Sabha elections 2019 and Legislative Assembly elections 2023 within 3 days.

    Crime increased in Chhindwara and Pandhurna

    In the meeting, the action taken against crimes registered in the last two months in all the districts was reviewed. As crimes increase in Chhindwara and Pandhurna districts, the Superintendent of Police was directed to take effective action to stop them. The total crime in the zone has decreased compared to last year. Instructions were given to take action by running a campaign against those selling and using illegal liquor, ganja, smack, gambling and betting. Instructions were given to sort out the records of habitual criminals and take action against Rasuka, District Collector, 110. Instructions were given to quickly solve crimes against Scheduled Castes/Tribes and to provide immediate relief funds to the victims.

    Property of absconding murderers and rapists will be confiscated

    Cases of murder, attempt to murder and rape in which the accused have not been arrested yet were reviewed. Search for the absconding accused, announce reward, conduct property confiscation proceedings, arrest the accused quickly and deploy police teams in cases of property related crimes like embezzlement, theft, robbery, search for the accused, recover property and convict them in identified and serious crimes. In order to get this done, instructions were given to monitor them during the trial and ensure maximum punishment.
