    Shabbir Ahmed, Bhopal. There was an uproar over a scam worth crores in Rajiv Gandhi Technological University, Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh. ABVP protested against financial irregularities in RGPV. The officer and employee were held hostage till 10:30 pm on Saturday night.

    Rajiv Gandhi Technological University is the only technical university of Madhya Pradesh. There is an allegation of transfer of FD worth Rs 200 crore in this university to a private account. ABVP workers protested regarding this. 25 people including the VC and Registrar in-charge of the university were held hostage for about three hours.

    Demand to make investigation report public

    ABVP workers uprooted the name plate of Professor Sunil Kumar outside the Vice Chancellor's office. Student Council workers are adamant on their demand to make the investigation report public. The demonstration of Vidyarthi Parishad workers will continue again today. An investigation has been conducted into the irregularities worth crores in RGPV, but the report has not been made public. The student council's protest is going on regarding this since February 19.

    Before the Lok Sabha elections, BJP changed 2 district presidents: They got the responsibility, Ram Bihari Chaurasia was made member of the State Working Committee.

    Higher Education Minister arrived to meet students

    In the case of scam worth crores in RGPV University, preparations are being made to remove the Vice Chancellor. Higher Education Minister Inder Singh Parmar arrived to meet the students. The minister has expressed apprehension of large-scale corruption. He said that the scope of investigation will be expanded. FIR will be lodged in this case, strict action will be taken against the culprits. The Vice Chancellor will be removed and is currently being sent on leave.

    Mungeli, May 20, 2025 // Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai today inaugurated an additional room constructed at a cost of Rs 29.90 lakh in the Mungeli District Library. On this occasion, Union Minister of State Shri Tokhan Sahu, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao, Mungeli MLA Shri Punnulal Mohle, and former MP Shri Lakhan Sahu were also present.
