Microsoft is preparing to release a suite of new AI-powered features for Windows 11 users. The update includes the Copilot Vision tool, allowing users to scan and analyze on-screen content. This eliminates the need for separate methods of capturing and sharing information from their screens. The rollout will be gradual, with features also extending to Copilot Plus PCs. Users can use Copilot Vision via the Copilot app to ask questions about what’s visible on the screen. Further enhancements allow users to edit pictures directly, like enhancing lighting. Microsoft’s report highlights the adoption of generative AI for work and hobbies. Microsoft aims to integrate these AI features to simplify existing PC tasks. Copilot Plus PC users can access the AI agent via the Settings app. Additional features include “Click to Do”, an AI-powered tool to summarize text, enhance reading, and improve pronunciation. The update also introduces an AI-powered sticker generator in Paint, an object select tool, an AI lighting option in Photos, and a perfect screenshot tool.
