Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel today said that Arpa is the life-giving river of Bilaspur. The first word of the song also starts with Arpa. To save this, the state government is also worried along with all the people and institutions. Every effort will be made by the state government to keep the river water pure and beautify it. Lack of money will not come in the way. Mr. Baghel said these things while addressing a program organized at Shastri School Ground in Bilaspur here today. Earlier, he inaugurated and performed Bhoomi Pujan of 97 development and construction works costing more than Rs 353 crore in Bilaspur district. Chief Minister Shri Baghel said that after a lot of efforts, air service has started in Bilaspur. From here flight facility is available only for two-three places in a day. It needs expansion. But due to the army land next to it, permission could not be obtained. After getting permission, efforts will be made to start flying at night by developing necessary facilities. He urged the Bilaspur MP to help in this. The Chief Minister said that Bilaspur is the second largest city of Chhattisgarh. It has got the status of justice and culture. Will make the city beautiful by taking everyone’s cooperation and support. The Chief Minister said that old schools would not be closed for opening Swami Atmanand School. The old schools will also continue to run, if needed, classes will be conducted in two shifts. Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel said that in the next 5 years, 5 lakh people will be given jobs. An action plan has been prepared for this. He said that 98 lakh metric tonnes of paddy has been procured from the farmers in the current season. Due to this, 20 thousand crore rupees have been paid to the farmers. Chhattisgarh is the first state in the whole of India, which is giving 6 thousand rupees every year to the rural agricultural landless laborers. Landless families have been given the amount of the first installment under the scheme. He said that our Godhan Nyay Yojana is being discussed in the whole country. The central government is also contemplating to run the scheme on the same lines. In Gauthans, women of self-help groups are earning income by making household items like lamps, paints, pots, cow sheds etc. Women are undertaking the venture to generate electricity in these Gauthans. Urban Administration and Development Minister Dr. Shivkumar Dahria, Leader of Opposition Shri Dharamlal Kaushik, MP Shri Arun Saw, MLA Shri Shailesh Pandey and Mayor Ramsharan Yadav also addressed the program. Collector Dr. Saransh Mitter delivered the welcome address. Through the report, he highlighted the important achievements and future action plans of the district in the last three years under the leadership of the Chief Minister. A short film based on development achievements of three years was also screened on the occasion. Parliamentary Secretary Rashmi Ashish Singh expressed gratitude.
