Under the chairmanship of Collector Dr. Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure, a meeting of District Water and Sanitation Mission was held in the Collectorate meeting hall here today. Review of the updated status of domestic connections under the water supply schemes approved under Jal Jeevan Mission as well as retrofitting of new single village schemes. Approval of approved plans for technical approval and revised approval of estimates was approved. The Collector asked the officials of the PHE department to complete the target achieved by the district under the Jal Jeevan Mission scheme in a timely manner. Officials of PHE department informed that clean drinking water has to be provided in 1244 habitations of 481 villages of 413 gram panchayats of Raipur district. Out of 1 lakh 84 thousand 335 rural households under the district, 99 thousand 92 domestic connections have been provided so far. Dr. Bhure directed the departmental officers to ensure that connections are provided in 1 lakh 20 thousand houses by the end of December, acting promptly. Accelerate the work affected due to rain and provide the list of villages where there is a problem in providing the connection. On this occasion, the Collector also directed the officials to take information about the drinking water arrangements made under the Jal Jeevan Mission in schools, Anganwadi centres, health centres, hostels, ashram centers operating in government institutions in rural areas of Raipur district. He said that ensure to complete the quality targets within the stipulated time period. In the meeting, revised approval was given for 37 retrofitting and single water supply schemes under Jal Jeevan Mission. Apart from this, the tender of 6 tenders, 11 villages was approved.
