Social Welfare Minister Smt. Anila Bhendia honored the organizations, individuals and persons with disabilities who did remarkable work for the welfare of Divyangjan in the state-level honor ceremony organized in the capital Raipur. On this occasion, he announced that the department will bear the expenses of going to Dubai to play for the blind girl Kumari Ishwari Nishad of Mahasamund district, who won the gold medal at the national level in paraathletics. Rajya Sabha MP Smt. Chhaya Verma, Chairman of Chhattisgarh Yoga Commission Shri Gyanesh Sharma, Divyangjans from different districts and officials of organizations working for the welfare of Divyangjan attended the function organized by the Social Welfare Department in the Directorate premises at Mana Camp. The guests also released departmental manual booklet, alcohol de-addiction booklet and Braille calendar at the function. Mrs. Bhendia said that the state government was committed to the cooperation of all the needy and needy persons and stood with them. Taking forward the resolve of Garhbo Nava Chhattisgarh, the state government is working at the field level to reach out to the last person. He thanked the people and institutions and said that the people and institutions of the society are also helping the department with sensitivity and dedication for the rehabilitation of Divyangjan, Senior Citizen, Destitute and Bisexual Persons. Appreciating the initiative of Nukkad T-Cafe to provide employment to the differently-abled youth, he said that the good work done by the institutions and individuals in the society inspire others as well. He inspired people to take advantage of various schemes run by the department. Rajya Sabha MP Smt. Shri Gyanesh Sharma described the work done for social welfare as saint work and appreciated the department and wished good work in future. Janjgir-Champa district in the category of best district for the excellent work for the welfare of the disabled in the ceremony. For the best handicapped employee, Mr. Tejram Sahu of Balod district and Mr. Arvind Sharma of Dhamtari district were awarded in visually impaired category, Mr. Saurabh Kumar Pandey of Raipur district in hearing-impaired category, Mr. Rameshwar Prasad Sahu of Raipur district in bone-impaired category. . Fortune Foundation Social Service Organization of Mahasamund district in the visually impaired category for the best voluntary organization and Premdhara Charitable Society (Navjeevan Deaf School) of Janjgir-Champa district for the hearing impaired cadre and Khemraj Jankalyan Sanstha of Balod district in the category of the best visually impaired employer. The committee was honored with the State Level Award for Divyangjan. Cheques, shields, certificates and citations were given to all the awardees and institutions. On this occasion, Braille Press, Bilaspur and Nukkad, a national award-winning organization that has illuminated the name of Chhattisgarh in the field of Divyang Kalyan in the whole country. T-Cafe Ventures LLP, Raipur was also felicitated. Along with this, the Deputy Secretary of the Department, Mr. Rajesh Tiwari for excellent performance, innovation and successful implementation of schemes, Mr. Manjit Singh Arora, a social worker of Bilaspur and Chhattisgarh Sikh Forum Raipur were also honored for helping the needy at the time of lockdown during the Corona period. But 122 persons with disabilities were given a check of Rs 37.44 lakh benefiting from departmental schemes, Disabled Marriage Promotion Scheme, Civil Services Promotion Scheme, Education Promotion Scheme, Family Assistance Scheme and State Scholarship Scheme.
