Under the direction of Public Health Engineering Minister Guru Rudrakumar, pure drinking water is being supplied in the rural areas of the state. Minister Guru Rudrakumar has given instructions to the officers to complete the works under the Jal Jeevan Mission within the time limit. In this episode, Kanker Collector Mr. Chandan Kumar took a meeting of District Water and Sanitation Mission today. In the meeting, approved schemes were approved for providing 85 thousand 278 domestic connections in the district from solar based, retrofitting, single village schemes under tap-water scheme, as well as subdivision level water testing laboratories in Bhanupratappur and Antagarh to be recognized by NABL. Approval received for purchase of chemicals, glassware, equipment etc. was approved. Apart from this, Collector Chandan Kumar did a detailed review of the works of Jal Jeevan Mission. He got DPR, inviting tenders, issuing work orders, FTK testing, user registration, provision of running water in schools and Anganwadi centers, ISA training, wall writing, painting etc. to promote the works of Jal Jeevan Mission in a time bound manner. Directed the Executive Engineer of Public Health Engineering Department to go. Instructions were also given to ensure that all the progress made in the IMIS portal are entered. In the meeting of the District Water and Sanitation Mission, 366 solar pump installations and pipeline expansion were given for providing 9 thousand 866 domestic connections in 189 schemes of 165 solar based villages. Approved schemes were approved for providing 38 thousand 561 domestic connections in approved schemes and 135 retrofitting tap-water schemes. Similarly, out of 155 single village supply schemes, 28 thousand 143 domestic connections were approved in the district. FTK supply work for water testing of water sources established in the district, renovation work of subdivision level water testing laboratory at Bhanupratappur and Antagarh under NABL was also approved.
