The Department of Culture and Archeology will organize several programs including photo exhibition and quiz on World Heritage Week. World Heritage Week is being celebrated from 19 to 25 November 2022. During this, various programs will be organized by the department to spread awareness about its heritage and to make people aware of their responsibility and duty towards heritage. Culture Department officials told that on November 19 at 11 am in the art gallery located at Mahant Ghasidas Memorial Museum Photo exhibition of rock paintings and historical records of archives will be organized. Senior archaeologist Padmashri Shri A.K. Sharma and director Mr. Vivek Acharya will inaugurate the exhibition. The observation of the exhibition can be done throughout the week on the official day and time. Officials said that in this episode of World Heritage Week, written quiz competition for students of class 6th to 12th will be held on November 21 at 11 am, on November 22 and 23 at 11 am, for classes 6th to 8th and 9th to 12th respectively. A painting competition has been organized for the students. There will be power point presentations of the village-wise surveys conducted by the Archaeological Department on November 24 from 3 pm. The results of the competitions will be announced on the last day, November 25 at 2 pm and attractive prizes will be distributed to the first, second and third place students and certificates will be distributed to all the students. There will also be lectures by experts focused on heritage. During the World Heritage Week (except Monday), school children will have the facility of free museum visit.
