Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel today inaugurated the beautification work of his office room in the Vidhan Sabha. The office room located in the Chief Minister’s assembly has been completely prepared on the theme of rural civilization of Chhattisgarh and culture of Bastar. The entrance to the office room gives the feel of the entrance of a village house. The traditional tribal dances of Bastar have been carved at the entrance of the office room, which gives a living feeling of the culture of Bastar. Along with Bastar Art, artefacts based on forest produce of Chhattisgarh have also been engraved. Assembly Speaker Dr. Charandas Mahant, Leader of Opposition Shri Dharamlal Kaushik, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Shri Ravindra Choubey, Home Minister Shri Tamradhwaj Sahu, Forest Minister Shri Mohammad Akbar, Urban Administration and Development Minister Dr. Shivkumar Dahria, Public Health Engineering Minister Guru Rudrakumar, MLAs were present on the occasion. Shri Mohan Markam, Chief Secretary Shri Amitabh Jain, Additional Chief Secretary Shri Subrata Sahu, Secretary Public Works Department Shri Siddharth Komal Singh Pardeshi were present. Chhattisgarh state’s folk culture, folk dance, Bastar art and rural environment have been beautifully incorporated in the beautification work of the room. A photo of Chhattisgarh Mahtari has been installed in the Chief Minister’s room, which shows love and reverence for the state. The state song ‘Arpa pari ke dhar..’ has also been engraved on the wall in the meeting hall. The wall of the room is adorned with gaur horn, world famous bell metal artefacts of Bastar performing tribal folk dance in which the rich folk culture of our state is visible. The state of Chhattisgarh is covered with forests and is full of biodiversity. That is why trees, animals and birds have been shown prominently in the pictures put in the beautification of the room. A picture of a pair of cow-oxen has also been put on the walls of the room because cow is a symbol of faith in the state of Chhattisgarh, as well as the importance of bullocks in the farming done by the farmers here. On the day of Govardhan Puja, farmers also worship by decorating cows and oxen. The doors of the room are designed to resemble the traditional rural environment. In addition to the Chief Minister’s room, a meeting room, two common passages have also been furnished in the beautification of the Chief Minister’s office room located in the Vidhan Sabha. Lights that are lit inside the office room have been fitted with lamps. The Gaur Mukut used in the famous Gaur dance of Bastar has been used as a lamp and has a bulb installed inside it which gives a feeling of presence in Bastar. Photographs of bell metal artifacts have been installed in the Chief Minister’s office room, apart from two sun-shaped sculptures depicting villagers dancing instead of rays. The logo of Chhattisgarh government has been placed behind the chair of the Chief Minister. Efforts have been made to mold the Chief Minister’s office room located in the Vidhan Sabha completely in the rural environment so that the culture of the entire Chhattisgarh can be glimpsed here.
