Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel today made online payment of Rs.6 crore 59 lakh to cattle rearing villagers, Gothan committees and women’s groups in the form of dung purchase, payment and distribution of dividend under Godhan Nyay Yojana. In the program organized at the Chief Minister’s residence office this evening, the amount paid today includes Rs. 2 crore 97 lakh in lieu of cow dung purchased in Gothan from March 29 to April 15, Rs. 2 crore 43 lakh to Gothan committees and Rs. 1 crore to women’s groups. 50 lakhs dividend is included. Expressing happiness over the National Alets Innovation Award for the Godhan Nyay Yojana of Chhattisgarh, the Chief Minister congratulated and congratulated the livestock farmers, villagers, women and Gothan committees including the officers of the Agriculture Department. Chief Minister Shri Baghel said that the success of the Godhan Nyay Yojana was achieved. Discussions have started happening in other states of the country as well and are getting attracted to implement this scheme in their state. He said that Godhan Nyay Yojana is being operated in mission mode in the state. With its successful implementation, Gothan is becoming self-supporting fast. More than 3 thousand Gauthans have become self-supporting. This is an important achievement in the direction of making the villagers and livestock farmers self-reliant. Setting an example, our Gauthans have purchased cow dung worth more than 13 crores with their own money. Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Minister Shri Ravindra Choubey also addressed the program and congratulated and congratulated the Pashupalak villagers, Gothan committees and women’s groups on the successful implementation of Godhan Nyay Yojana in the state. Agriculture Production Commissioner Dr. Kamalpreet Singh and Secretary Dr. S. Bharathidasan gave information about the achievements of Godhan Nyay Yojana through a power point presentation. He said that so far Rs 136 crore 21 lakh has been paid to cow dung vendors under Godhan Nyay Yojana. Similarly, Rs 58 crore 31 lakh has been paid to Gothan committees and Rs 38 crore to self-help groups, Rs 25 lakh has also been paid. Vermicompost, Super Compost, Super Compost Plus and other products are being prepared on a large scale by women groups in Gauthans. Apart from manure from cow dung, women’s group is earning income by manufacturing and selling cow sticks, lamps, incense sticks, idols and other materials. Under the Godhan Nyay Yojana, out of 10 thousand 622 approved Gauthans in the state, 8 thousand 397 are active Gauthans. Of these, 68 lakh quintals of cow dung worth more than Rs 136 crore has been purchased from the cattle rearing villagers so far. More than 2 lakh 11 thousand rural, animal husbandry farmers are getting benefited from Godhan Nyay Yojana.
