Under the National Livelihood Mission, efforts are being made to connect the people of special backward tribes in the mainstream of the society. Under the Utthan project in Korba district, he is now adopting farming, grocery shop and animal husbandry as his livelihood. Special efforts are being made for the upliftment and development of the families of special backward tribes, Pahari Korwa and Birhor castes. Women of special backward tribe Pahari Korwa family are promoting livelihood by adopting various activities. Utthan project has an important role in livelihood promotion. Area Cardinal NRLM Smt. Alka Adile informed that Shri Ram Mahila Self Help Group Titardand Gram Panchayat Simkenda was given circular fund, community investment fund, through which she is doing the work of grocery shop, goat rearing, pig farming. There is a profit of 10 thousand rupees by buying Mahua flowers in the grocery store. Due to which these Korwa women are taking forward their livelihood activity. The women of Titardand of Phulwari Self Help Group are doing goat rearing and pig rearing, due to which they have got an economic benefit of five thousand rupees. The women of the group are also saving Rs 10 per week among themselves. Shyang’s FLCRP Lata Markam told that the women of Hariyali Self Help Group are doing goat rearing, poultry farming with the amount received from the cyclical fund, community investment fund. He has earned an income of one thousand 800 rupees by selling chicken last month. Special efforts are being made by Korba Collector Shri Sanjeev Jha for the upliftment and development of special backward tribes, hill Korwa and Birhor caste families. The Collector had made extensive visits to the Special Backward Tribal Areas of Chhatsarai, Garhuporda, Nakia, Devpahari, Lemru and went to the middle of them and had directed the officers for the betterment of the facilities available to them. As a result, in the first phase, women from special backward tribes families have been linked with self-help groups in Korba development block. In the second phase, Aadhar card, voter ID card, ration card, have been made available on priority to get the benefits of government schemes. Now these families are being linked with livelihood activities like goat rearing, poultry, grocery shop, pig farming etc. 08 women of special backward tribe community have been selected as active women, so that they can work according to their actual situation. These women have also been trained. Now these active women are working to connect other women of the community with livelihood activities, so that their development can take place.
